Civil Engineering is a Professional Engineering discipline that deals with the design, construction and maintenance of the physical and naturally built environment, including works such as bridges, roads, canals, dams and buildings. Civil Engineering is the oldest Engineering discipline after Military Engineering It is traditionally broken it into different discipline including Environmental Engineering, Structural Engineer ing, Transportation Engineering, Water Resource Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Material Engineering, Survey Engineering and Construction Engineering. Civil Engineering takes places on all levels in the public sector and private sector.

Eligibility criteria:The candidates should have passed 10th (Metric) Examination with at least five subjects including Science, Mathematics and English as Compulsory subjects from a recognized Board/University and  teaches students to plan, design, execute and maintain structural works like bridges, buildings, roads and other infrastructural projects.

Students can get admission in the second year of BTech course through Lateral entry. The average fee for the course diploma in civil engineering is INR 10,000-5,00,000. Fees structures are made by colleges and universities on the basis of courses offered by them.
