Privacy Policy

With the aim of generating sufficient opportunities for placement of its students, DITM’s well organized Corporate Resource Centre executes important placement activities round the year. Apart from corresponding with coveted MNCs & other big organizations and inviting them for visiting the campus for recruitment, the Centre runs some guiding, counseling and training programmes for the students with a view to create academic excellence in them and equip them with all that is essential for landing lucrative careers. A number of eminently acceptable employers - leading companies and HR agencies, visit the campus for recruitment every year and many students get picked up with attractive packages.

Policy Highlights
  • Recruitment through the Corporate Resource Centre will be procured for students of DITM only.
  • Students interested in campus placement should register with the Centre as soon as they reach in the final year of their program.
  • The placement process would commence in the month of September every year.
  • The placement process would involve:
    1. Personal interaction with the placement team
    2. Apprising students about the standard resume format
    3. Training students for facing the recruitment process by holding group discussions and conducting mock interviews
    4. Visit of employers for recruitment
  • Orientation and Policy talk for the registered students would be organized in the beginning of every academic session in order to provide an insight into the guidelines and policies of the CRC and introduce the placement team.
The Recruitment Process

The registered students will be informed about the visit of various recruiters as and when their schedule is fixed, through e-mail/college web site. (No personal calling will be made in this regard) Students should study profile of the company online and decide if they are interested in participating in the particular recruitment process. If so they need to apply online to the centre for inclusion.

  • Students, who once register for a particular company, must present themselves on the day of the visit, failing which they may be black listed for the next two recruitments.
  • Recruitment process of any company usually involves:
    1. Pre placement talk
    2. Written test
    3. Group discussion
    4. Interview
  • Students who come to attend the recruitment and decide to sit for the written test after the Pre placement talk, must continue with the complete procedure unless they are eliminated at some stage. Defaulters will not be allowed to apply for any of the forthcoming recruitments.
Restrictions

Securing at least one Job for every student will always remain a priority for the centre, therefore some restrictions have been proposed. They are as under-

  • Students who have already been selected by two employers will have to wait to appear for more recruitment processes till most of their batch mates have got fair chance. Head of the CRC will however be authorized to use discretion in some cases.
  • In this regard a student would be considered to have been selected only if his/her name features in the final list of successful candidates. In case of it featuring in the waiting list, he/she will be allowed to apply and appear for recruitment of other companies.
  • Students getting offer letter from two or more recruiters will have to decide upon one before completing their program of study and inform the others accordingly through the Resource centre. This policy is subject to changes at any stage at the discretion of the CRC/Institute’s authorities. The changes made, will however be notified to all concerned.
Points to remember on the day of visit of recruiters:
  • It is mandatory for students to come smartly dressed in complete college uniform (coat/blazer is optional).
  • Candidates must reach the venue at least half an hour before the scheduled time for the PPT. They are advised to adhere to the timings through the process also and be present at the venue punctually much before the scheduled time for each of the rest of stages.
  • No student shall be allowed to enter the venue if he/she is late by more than 10 minutes for the Pre-Placement Talk and in such a case he/she will be considered as absent.
  • For any Recruitment Process, candidates must carry:
    1. College identity card
    2. 2 copies of Curriculum Vitae
    3. 2 passport size photographs
  • Students should be properly equipped with enough stationery, a writing board, HB pencil, pen, eraser and stapler etc. (The cell will not provide these items)
